@Graham Keeton but richards and wilson surely didnt start for the money since richards started as a codriver in the 70s and malcom as a driver in the 80s, a time when only the best drivers of the biggest teams made any serious money

Xeno you are totally right but Richards was not flawless I mean he cocked up a couple times but overall he knew how to go racing. Ultimately I think the other teams got better also which forced prodrives hand to upgrade re-design and that comes with the niggles and gremlins that need time to iron out and then as we see here it was a shit show but that's racing as they say 🤣🤣

Yep. 100% agree. David Richard’s has a bullshit meter! Am sure he’s a formidable man. When Colin Mcrea (RIP) rolled the Legacy multiple times,David was there with the boys with a lump hammer…if the boss is getting stuck in,it builds moral 🤘🏼

@Graham Keeton That's an interesting opinion on Richards & Wilson. They had no choice but to make a business out of it. Citroen, Peugeot etc. didn't have to worry about selling cars to keep the bottom line up. For Subaru, anything from the S12 on was flawed in terms of a chassis. Petter knows it too & he's flat out refused to go into the details when interviewed, out of respect for Subaru. I would agree with earlier comments though, David Lapworth was a fantastic engineer but he wasn't ideally suited to the team boss role.

Sorry but have to disagree That Richards guy was an arrogant arse Just like Malcolm Wilson They were both arrogant business men who were always in the sport for the money and not for the sport When you mix business with sport it never works but unfortunately then they have the marketing and media people telling anyone who would listen that they were doing well and everything is fine So if that's the case then what happened to Subaru then in this year Not just bad luck I think the whole team just didn't prepare and were just interested in money and hype

2006, '07 and '08 were all fairly disappointing for Subaru. No victories, no championships. Sad.

A good show but such a crap year (for Subaru) to cover.
